Classes & Group Sessions
Ongoing classes, private bookings, and team gatherings
I offer a variety of creative classes through Artists of the High Desert in Hesperia, California, along with private sessions for friend groups, celebratory gatherings, team retreats, and creative get-togethers. Each experience is shaped around the people in the room.
Watercolor
For beginners and the curious
A loose, intuitive introduction to watercolor focused on the things that make the medium feel alive — water, pigment movement, and the unpredictability of the process. We’ll work through simple exercises designed to lower the stakes of every brushstroke and help you become more comfortable exploring the medium.
Ideal if you’re picking up a brush for the first time or returning to painting after years away.
Mixed Media
Experimental, layered, expressive
Mixed media classes are where we get out all the materials and really get to play. Watercolor, acrylic, ink, water-soluble crayons, stencils, gel pens, paint pens, collage, and layered mark-making all come together as we explore process, layering, texture, and experimentation.
The focus isn’t on creating a perfect final piece, but on discovering what materials, techniques, and creative approaches feel most engaging to you.
Great for anyone curious about mixed media and open to discovering new ways to create.
Layered Acrylic
Texture, color, and confident abstraction
Working with squeegees, stencils, and layered acrylic techniques, this class invites exploration through texture, color, movement, and process. We’ll work in layers, staying open to unexpected discoveries along the way.
Especially welcoming for those curious about abstraction and looking to loosen up creatively without pressure for a perfect result.
Color Exploration
learning to see color differently
Through mixing and hands-on experimentation, this class explores how colors interact, shift, soften, brighten, and influence one another. We’ll use the color wheel as a guide while building a more intuitive understanding of harmony, contrast, temperature, and balance through process and play.
Especially welcoming for beginners, curious creatives, and anyone wanting to feel more confident working with color.
