About the Studio

Hello, friend.

An open studio for the curious, the returning, and the brand-new.

I’m Kat Miner, an artist and creative facilitator. I help people reconnect with creativity through watercolor, mixed media, and playful exploration. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or returning to creativity after years away, my classes are a space to explore, experiment, and enjoy the process — without pressure or perfection.

What you’ll find here

Welcoming

All experience levels

From first-time-painter to those returning from time away — come as you are. No prerequisites, no “right” way to begin.

authentic

Process over perfection

We’ll focus on play, exploration, and confidence — not a polished result. The point is what you discover along the way.

Together

Community, not competition

Small group sessions in a relaxed, supportive environment. Permission to experiment is built into the space.

“Great class! I was surprised how fun it was. I loved the abstract approach and the variety of tools.”

— Acrylic Layering Student

What to expect

No experience necessary. Classes are designed to feel approachable from the very first stroke. If you’ve never picked up a brush, you’re in the right place.

All paints, papers, and tools are provided in class. Just bring yourself, an apron or layer you don’t mind getting messy, and curiosity.

Most sessions run two to three hours, with time to settle in, explore a technique, and leave with a finished piece you actually love.

Yes — I host private classes, friend groups, and team gatherings on request. Reach out and we’ll plan something around what you’re looking for.
